A month in, how are your New Year’s Resolutions going?
January is traditionally a month where many of us turn our attention to getting fitter and / or losing a few of those extra pounds we “accidentally” put on over the festive season. Some of us buy gadgets in the thought / hope they will help. But how many of us have bought similar fitness gadgets for our pets?
We asked dog owners:
“Wearable technology for measuring activity in humans has become a major trend. Examples include Fitbit. Do you have a activity tracker watch such as a Fitbit?”
“How do you feel about activity trackers for dogs? These are usually attached to their collar. The idea is they monitor the amount of exercise or general activity your dog is getting. Some also have a GPS on them so you can track where they are. One example, Fitbark, costs abut £70. How do you feel about them?”
Whilst a third of owners (30%) said they had a fitness tracker, more than a third (39%) would consider buying a fitness tracker for their dog.
