MG&A: Veterinary Market Research: Compassionate leave for pet owners; how many days leave should be allowable?
In our last post, we discussed pet owner opinion on whether a pet owner should be able to take maternity/paternity/compassionate leave for their dog i.e. when it is a puppy, if it is unwell etc. But of those who said they should be able to take time off, how many work days PER YEAR did they feel an employee should be entitled to take because of their dog?

Results
The mean number of days per year dog owners felt one should be able to take off was just over 8 days, with they median being 4 days.
These data exclude outliers or values beyond 1.5x the interquartile range from the 1st and the 3rd.
Of course, if you would like to discuss the possibility of conducting your own bespoke survey, we’d also love to hear from you.
