MG&A: Veterinary market research: How do you feel about electric shock collars?
A recent article in The Guardian, https://www.theguardian.com/world/2018/mar/11/animal-cruel-electric-shock-pet-training-collar-ban-england, reported the welcome news that ministers have announced proposals to ban the use of electric shock collars in England. The use of these collars has already been banned in Wales and Scotland has announced it is following suit.
Ahead of this news, MG&A asked 200 dog owners in UK how they felt about their use.
“Electric shock collars are worn around a dog’s neck and deliver an electric shock either via a remote control or an automated trigger, for example, a dog’s bark. These collars are currently legal in Scotland and England but NOT LEGAL in Wales, how do you feel about this?”

Perhaps surpringly, only two thirds of us (68%) felt that electric shock collars were cruel and should be banned, but what did the other third think?
For further details, please contact MG&A and we will be delighted to send you the full analysis on this question for free.
Of course, if you would like to discuss the possibility of conducting your own bespoke survey, we’d also love to hear from you.
